Why Michael convinced us to use React + Vite for everything

Jan 2026

After WordPress, Next.js and a thousand other options, our developer found the combination that gives us speed, flexibility and zero drama.

When we started the agency, we inherited projects in WordPress, Wix, Squarespace and even the odd lost Joomla. Each platform had its own logic, broken plugins, and updates that broke everything on a Friday at 6pm. Michael was going mad trying to maintain it all. "We need a stack I can actually control," he told us one day. And he was right.

We tried Next.js and liked the concept, but for the projects we handle (corporate sites, landing pages, portfolios), the complexity of server-side rendering didn't bring much value. Ludmi needed fast sites where she could implement her designs without limitations, and Michael needed a predictable environment. Our clients don't need SSR: they need well-designed sites that are easy to update.

That's where Vite came in. The first time Michael showed us hot module replacement working in milliseconds, Ludmi and I looked at each other as if to say "this is it". Combined with React and TypeScript, Michael has an environment where changes reflect instantly, errors are caught before compiling, and the final build is ultra-lightweight.

The full stack we use today: React 18, TypeScript, Vite, Tailwind CSS and Framer Motion for the animations Ludmi loves so much. It's simple, predictable and allows us to deliver projects in weeks, not months. A typical corporate site goes to production in 3-4 weeks, including Ludmi's design and Juli's illustrations when the project requires them.

What we value most is the internal experience. When someone new joins the team, Michael gets them up to speed in a day. There are no magic configurations, no 47 config files nobody understands. It's pure React with modern tools. Even I, not being a full-time developer, can make minor adjustments without breaking anything. And that translates to fewer bugs, faster deliveries and happier clients.

A data point: since migrating to this stack, our Lighthouse metrics average 95+ in performance. Not because Michael does anything magical, but because the stack doesn't put obstacles in the way. Sometimes the best technical decision is simply not to overcomplicate things.
